Lets talk travel

Ditch the heels and cute sandals, you wont regret it!

Prioritizing comfortable footwear over fashion during travel is a valuable lesson learned. While stylish shoes may enhance your outfit, they can quickly become a problem when exploring new destinations. I’ve seen travelers hobbling through cobblestone streets or nursing blisters from ill-fitting shoes. The discomfort distracts from the joy of discovery. So, opt for supportive, cushioned shoes that allow you to wander freely without sacrificing style entirely. Your feet will thank you, and you’ll savor every step of your journey!

Let's Talk about some of my newest favorites in the women's category:

The HOKA Clifton 9 is probably the most comfortable sneaker I have had on my feet in quite some time, they came highly recommended by a few friends and boy they did not disappoint. From day 1 these shoes fit like a glove. They needed no break in time at all. I chose an all white option and they weathered our trip without looking too rough at the end. I would size up a 1/2 size if you are in between as I did per the recommendations I received.

The Brooks Ghost 15 Running shoe was a close 2nd. They did require some breaking in prior to taking them out for a long trip. They rubbed a little at first but after loosening the stiff back up some they were comfortable. They paired a little better with dresses I would say more so than the HOKAs. They did fit true to size however I would say if you have a wide foot this probably might not be the shoe for you, they felt snug on my narrow foot.

I also wanted to give and honorable mention to Dr. Scholls Time off sneakers. They were definitely the most stylish sneakers. The layers of padding inside make you feel like you are walking on air. These shoes are more of a platform style, to me they were a bit heavier and less flexible on the foot. If you are looking for a solid shoe with arch support this is a great sneaker for walking.
